George Nussbaumer ist eine Legende in der Blues- und Soul-Szene. Seit vielen Jahren ist er erfolgreicher Songwriter und im In- und Ausland auf Tournee. 1996 vertrat er Österreich beim Eurovision Song Contest und erreichte dort den beachtenswerten 10. Platz und das mit einem Song in seiner Muttersprache dem Vorarlbergerischem. Der Song hieß „Weil’s dr guat got“. Im Programm stehen neben Nummern der Soul-Legende „Ray Charles“ in den Arrangements des Count Basie Orchestra auch Originalkompositionen von George Nussbaumer in der Bearbeitung durch Musiker der RAT Big Band.
