Der in Süd-London geborene und mittlerweile in Atlanta lebende Musiker Puma Blue alias Jacob Allen hat sein neues Studioalbum „Croak Dream“ angekündigt, das am 6. Februar 2026 über Play It Again Sam erscheint. Mit dem Album widmet sich Allen der philosophischen Frage, wie das Wissen um den eigenen Tod das Leben verändern würde – musikalisch verpackt in eine faszinierende Mischung aus Trip-Hop, Dub Techno, Jungle und experimentellem Electronica. Gleichzeitig erscheint die erste Single „Desire“, die ursprünglich in einem Hotelzimmer aufgenommen wurde und mit ihrem rohen, unverfälschten Sound den Grundstein für die Klangwelt des Albums legt. Produziert wurde Croak Dream gemeinsam mit Sam Petts-Davies (The Smile, Warpaint) in Peter Gabriels Real World Studios.
